Cheryl Deister

Cheryl Ann Deister, age 64, passed away unexpectedly after complications from surgery.  On Friday, January 26, 2018, Cheryl Ann went to be with the Lord and her beloved parents, William and Isabella Deister. 

Simply known as “Aunt Cheryl” to both family and friends alike, her generosity and compassion will leave a lasting impact on those who had the good fortune to know her.  A dedicated public servant who spent over 30 years working for the Federal Government, culminating her career as the Director of Contracting, Defense National Stockpile Center in 2010.  Her post Government career consisted of building CBS Consulting and operating as CEO until the time of her death.  Survived by her dearest sister Kathy Deister Donahoe and her husband, Francis of Alexandria, VA.  Dedicated aunt of Stephen F. Donahoe and his wife, Kristen, Gregory B. Donahoe and his wife, Nicole, and Andrew W. Donahoe and his wife, Elaine.  Attentive great aunt of Ryan, Colin, Olivia, Bryce, Lucas and Jake.  Proud mother to her adored poodle, Buster.  She was also the loving cousin of M. Junior Bridge of Arlington, VA. 

The family will receive friends at the Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA on Wednesday, January 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 1, 11:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 3815 Russell Road, Alexandria, VA.  Burial will follow at Columbia Gardens, Arlington, VA.
