Arthur Wayne Owens

Arthur Wayne Owens, age 74, passed away at his home in Alexandria, Virginia on January 9, 2022. Wayne is preceded in death by his loving wife Regina. He is survived by his sister Doris, brother Tom (Betty), brother Jim (Sheila) and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Wayne was born on January 26, 1947 in Dunham, Kentucky and raised in Wise, Virginia. Wayne bravely served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam war, and found friendship with many due to his sense of humor and candid personality. Wayne was passionate about shooting sports, hunting and fishing, and a long time member of the Izaak Walton League. While adept at all outdoor activities, Wayne will also be remembered for his community spirit, willingness to teach others, and ability to regale those around him with stories of his travels.

The family will receive friends  at Everley Wheatley Funeral home between 4 and 6pm on January 21st at 1500 W Braddock Rd Alexandria, VA

The burial will be held at Fairfax Memorial on January 28th at noon at 9900 Braddock Rd. Fairfax Va.

A celebration of life will immediately follow the burial at Patriots Pub and Grill at 10560 Main Street Fairfax VA
