Beatrice Goldsby Morgan
Alexandria, VA- Beatrice Goldsby Morgan, born May 4, 1920, departed this life on May 21, 2018 at the age of 98. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Dr. Beatrice E. Taylor (Norman), Patricia Johnson and son-in-law Tony BeLue, grandchildren Dr. Rhonda BeLue, N. Owen Taylor Jr, Kimberly LeBlanc (Patrick) and great grandchildren Ndeye Fatou Guisse, Brian LeBlanc, Jack LeBlanc and extended family and friends.
Mrs. Morgan is predeceased by her parents Archie Beatrice Smedley Goldsby and Arthur T. Goldsby, siblings Myrtle, Wilbur, Charles, Arthur Jr, Gerald, and daughter Brenda BeLue. In 1942, her senior year at Spelman College, Bea was elected homecoming queen by Morehouse College in Atlanta. She was formally married to Lt. Dempsey Morgan, a Tuskegee Airman. Bea raised their three daughters in Inkster, Michigan and taught in both the Inkster and Livonia Public Schools for many years.
Mrs. Morgan enjoyed working in her garden, sewing, volunteering and spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her hard work, dedication to children and kindness.
A burial will take place in the Detroit, Michigan area.
