Beverly Starr McNulty

Beverly Starr McNulty of Roanoke, Virginia and formerly of Brighton, Michigan passed away on May 31, 2018.  Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Angella (Ken) Yeakley, Bridget (Peter Chandler) Yakley; her grandchildren, Krystalyn and Kyle; her sisters Jewell Richards, Judy (Seymour) Forbing, and Bonnie Darga; numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.  Beverly was preceded in death by her parents Hurley and Geneva Mitchem, her brother Darold Mitchem, and brother-in-law Ron Richards.

Beverly spent part of her childhood in West Virginia before moving to Michigan where she graduated high school and started her family.  She ultimately moved back South to Virginia bringing her closer to her children and grandchildren, whom she adored.  She worked for Carilion Clinic until her retirement in 2016.  Beverly loved spending time with family and friends bringing joy and laughter to every visit.  She also enjoyed sharing her love of food by treating her family, coworkers, and friends to her cooking.

Beverly’s loving and generous spirit continues to touch lives.  It was her desire to help advance science and improve lives through donation.  We, as a family, are comforted in our loss knowing that she is making a positive impact thanks to her precious gift.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Michigan at a later date.  Memorial donations in Beverly’s name can be made to Capital Hospice or American Liver Foundation.
