Donna Belle Vermillion, age 70, of Alexandria went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2018.
Born on March 25, 1947 in Greensboro, North Carolina, Donna Belle Yarborough was the
second daughter of Harold and June Yarborough (Mayhew). As a child, she lived with her family
in Sacramento, California until the family relocated to Alexandria when Donna was nine.
She attended George Washington High School in Alexandria, and was a member of the Class
of 1965. She is survived by her husband, Stephen P. Vermillion Sr. of Alexandria, sons Stephen
Patrick Vermillion, Jr. (Nancye), Sean Michael Vermillion (Helen), Brent Harold Vermillion
(Cindy), daughters Ameri Belle Reif (Dave), Leslie Terrazas (Louie), and sisters Phyllis
Yarborough and Tammy Rockefeller (Robert).
She will be dearly missed by her ten grandchildren, Zachary Terrazas, Catherine Vermillion,
Allison Vermillion, Emily Vermillion, Sydney Terrazas, Claire Vermillion, Sarah Vermillion,
Charles Vermillion, Mary Grace Vermillion, and David Vermillion, and many loving nieces,
nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Donna was a beautiful woman whose smile lit up a room, and who was always ready for fun.
Throughout her life she loved all types of dance, celebrations, travel, the beach, and time with
family. Most importantly, she cherished her relationship with the Lord.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, wife, daughter-in-law, aunt, mother,
grandmother and friend to many. She planted the seeds of faith in her children and their
families, and it will be that faith that will bring peace to those who loved and will miss her.
