Henry Ernst Schwarz was born October 9, 1932, in Long Island, New York the son of Henry J.C. Schwarz and Anne Marie Schwarz.
Henry served in the United States Army for 22 years as an Engineer Officer, honorably retiring in 1976 as a Lt. Colonel. While in the Army, Henry served two combat tours in Vietnam as UH -1D helicopter pilot and commander. He earned well over 29 medals for his service including a Bronze Star and Distinguished Flying Cross for his heroic actions in combat.
After his service, Henry worked in the commercial industry as a professional engineer managing design and construction of telecommunications projects. Henry was an avid aviator who owned and operated his own FAA certified Helicopter Services Corporation.
Henry passed away on July 8, 2018.
Henry is survived by his wife of 57 years Jane Schwarz (Bissell), daughter Beth Schwarz, son & daughter- in-law Ned & Theresa Monroe, and grandchildren Harry Lee Monroe and Emily Dougherty.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents Henry J.C. Schwarz and Anne Marie Schwarz and his daughter Lisa K. Monroe.
