In loving memory of Kathleen Claire Cole who passed away in the early morning of March 30, 2021 from complications of cancer. Kathleen Claire Cole was born on May 16, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Gertrude and Francis Cole. Kathleen graduated from Notre Dame High School. After high school graduation, she worked at the FBI for 4 years and later trained with United Airlines to be one of their flight attendants. Kathleen retired from United Airlines after 35 years of service. As a young airline professional, Kathleen lived on both the West and East coasts, but spend most of her adult life living in Northern Virginia – in both Alexandria and Arlington. Kathleen has been a longtime, devoted parishioner at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Alexandria, Virginia.
Kathleen Claire Cole is predeceased by her parents, Gertrude and Francis Cole, and her sister, Joan Stokes, and two brothers, Francis, and Stewart Cole. She is survived by her sister, Mary Dowling of Vero Beach, Florida and by nephews, Dirk Dreux of Greenwich, Connecticut and Mark Dreux of Arlington, Virginia and by a niece, Diane Dreux Smith of Salt Lake City, Utah. Kathleen is also survived by great nieces and nephews – Mark Dreux, Jr., Erin Dreux Rock, Caitlyn Dreux Camacho, Peter Dreux, Lillie Dreux, Charlotte Dreux, Virginia Dreux, and William Rock.
Kathleen will be laid to rest with her parents at the Westminster Cemetery in Bala Kynwood, Pennsylvania. A wake will be held at Everly Wheatley Funeral home located at 1500 W. Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22302. On April 12, between 4pm and 8pm in the Everly Wheatley Chapel. funeral mass will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church on April 13th at 11am.
