Mary Margaret Ehlers

Mary Ehlers, 78, of Alexandria, Va passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday June 24th. Mary had been courageously fighting several ailments the last several years. Mary was a military homemaker as well as a surrogate mother to many families in the neighborhood. Mary was a animal lover and her great joy was her cat Penny as well as the many other pets in the neighborhood. Mary was married for 47 years to SMSgt Allan Ehlers who predeceased her in 2012. Mary is survived by her sons Mark of Alexandria, VA,  Ernie and his wife Dawn of New Market, MD. Mary's visitation will be July 1st from 6pm to 8pm at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home with a private burial at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
