Nezahat L. Ozel

Nezahat Ozel was born in the Eyup Sultan District of Istanbul, Turkey. She was born to Albanian parents who immigrated from Albania and Kosovo to Turkey. Nezahat Ozel is the beloved wife of Nizamettin whom she married on January 25, 1963. She is the devoted mother of son Nelson (Angela) and daughter Yeşim (Kevin), cherished grandmother of Antonio, Aylana, and Samantha, bonus grandmother to Kartal (Melissa), Volkan (Kelley), Derya (Ray), Kaan, Kaya and Kartal, bonus great grandmother to Charlotte, Logan, Ava, Ray and Dean, beloved twin sister to Sabahat (Ragip), preceded in death to parents Kadri and Zarife, preceded in death to children Can and Tülin, preceded in death by sisters Esma (Fehmi) and Nebahat, preceded in death by brothers Faik (Husniye) and Sabahattin, aunt to Suat (Meral) Filiz (Erkan), Sedat,  Suzy (Ali TC Ali) and Deniz (Sean). Our beautiful mother passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on January 19th at 84 years old. Our precious mother lived a full and meaningful life, always putting her family first and making sure they were well taken care of. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and ability to make everyone feel at home. Our beautiful mother will be deeply missed by her family and the many lives she touched throughout her life. Our hearts are forever broken but she will live on in all of those who loved her.

Services will take place at Everly-Wheatley funeral home, 1500 W Braddock Rd Alexandria, VA. Visitation/Viewing is on Tuesday from 4-7pm, and the Funeral is on Wednesday at 11am. Interment will take place at 1pm at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA.
