Timothy Kenneth McGowan

Timothy K. McGowan, 62, passed away at his home in Calabash, NC on November 6th, 2020.

Tim was born on February 28th in Bobingen, Germany. Being a proud military kid, Tim traveled to various places such as California, Japan, Alaska, Wisconsin and more, while his father Patrick served in the Air Force.

Tim resided in Wisconsin for a period of time with his parents, Patrick and Joan, both of which were originally from Wisconsin. So yes, a GREEN BAY PACKERS ‘Cheese Head’ fan he was! 

Admiring his father Patrick’s accomplishments in the military as an Air Force officer, Tim decided to serve his Country also, joining the Navy for Four years.

Eventually, Timothy settled in West Springfield, VA and while working for the Department of Housing in Fairfax, he met the love of his life, Kathy, whom he married the following year.

After residing in Stafford, VA for nearly 10 years or so, they moved to North Carolina to enjoy their love of the local beaches and golf courses.

Tim enjoyed the summer visits from his grandkids and loved spoiling them too! Whether a play date at the beach, fun drives to McDonalds for happy meals, shopping trips with the girls, or playing video games with the boys, it was fun for all!

He also looked forward to one on one time with his wife and best friend Kathy, whom he loved spending every minute of every day with.

As a devoted Catholic, Tim’s love for God was shown throughout his life and his family finds great comfort knowing he is celebrating with his Heavenly Father and those who have gone before him.

Until we see him again someday, Timothy will be sadly missed by his wife Kathy, Rodney and wife Kim, Clint and wife Beth, grandkids Kayla, Ashley, Matthew, Grayson and Cenah.
