Ubol Darmrong

Maryland - On Friday, July 9, 2021, Ubol Darmrong passed away after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, while being attended by close family and caregivers at Brookdale Senior Living. Ubol was 90 years old.

Ubol was born in 1930 and came to the United States in the mid–1960’s, and started her life with her husband, Prachuab, and daughter, Nalinee. After completing her training at cosmetology school, Ubol became a hair stylist, working for many years in various salons in the Washington, DC area. She retired in the late 1980’s-early 1990’s.

Ubol was preceded in death by her husband, Prachuab, her father, Lieutenant Commander Juan (RTN), her mother La-Moun, her brother, Professor Colonel Suwan (RTA), and her sister La-aeid. Ubol is survived by her daughter, Nalinee, her son-in-law, David, her grandson, Rama, her sister Khunying La-aw, and her brother, Vice Admiral Vinai (RTN).

Services for Ubol Darmrong will be held on Saturday, July 31st at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home and Cremation at 1500 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA, 22302. Visitation will begin at 11:00am, and services beginning at 12:30pm.

Flowers may be sent to Everly-Wheatley Funeral home, or in lieu of flowers, the family requests that those who wish to express sympathy donate to their favorite charity in the name of Ubol Darmrong.
