Anthony, a second-generation Funeral Director after his father, has worked in the death care profession for over 8 years. He holds licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Anthony is a graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is guided by the belief that families in our care should be served whole-heartedly and with compassion. Anthony is a Certified Life Celebrant and also a recipient of the 2019 "40 under 40" award presented by the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce in recognition of his commitment and service to the families of Alexandria. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, church, and watching sports.
Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
joined the staff in June 2017 as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. She
moved from central Texas to Virginia in the spring of 2011 for the pursuit of
better opportunities, and has over 14 years of experience as a death care
professional. Jennifer is a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary
Science, and a Certified Crematory Operator with the Cremation Association of
experienced several tragic losses herself, she has a great passion for
providing the families she serves with the highest level of compassion during
one of the most difficult times in their lives. Her goal is to provide
meaningful services to honor loved ones, while creating a positive experience
for their survivors.

and Winston. She is expecting her first child mid-July 2019. Jennifer enjoys
gardening, baking, and traveling to new places.
Funeral Director Apprentice
over 20 years of experience in the funeral industry. She began her career in
Arlington, Virginia and then moved to Texas to attend mortuary college at the
Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in
Applied Science as well as Mortuary Science. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering with Meals on Wheels in Alexandria, Va., studying astronomy, reading, camping, kayaking and hiking with her dog Dublin.
Amber joined the staff in March of 2017 as a licensed
embalmer. She is originally from Chicago, Illinois and moved to the area with
her husband in 2013 to pursue their careers. She graduated from Worsham College
of Mortuary Science in 2011 with an Associates of Applied Science, as well as a
Mortuary Science degree. She is a member of the Pi Sigma Eta, National Mortuary
Science Honors Fraternity and was also awarded the Richard G.Reichle Sr.
Restorative Art Award. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, music, and art.
Funeral Service Intern
Brian joined Everly-Wheatley in 2018 as a Funeral Service Intern, working to become a second generation funeral director after his father. Originally from Cape Cod, MA, he relocated to the area with his family in 2016. He is a CANA Certified Crematory Operator. Brian is a 2008 graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and in his spare time enjoys movies, video games and singing an occasional showtune.

Zelma Vargas joined our team in 2017. She is bilingual and assists as a liason between our directors and spanish speaking families. Originally from Argentina, she moved to the Northern Virginia area along with her husband and children. In her spare time she enjoys playing soccer.

Clarke joined the staff of Everly Wheatley Funeral Home as a
Funeral Assistant and Certified Crematory Operator. A native to Alexandria,
Clarke, recently retired from Fairfax County Fire & Rescue after 30 years
of service. Married for almost 30 years, Clarke enjoys spending time with his
family from Virginia to North Carolina.
